Institute for Social Development (I.S.D.) is a unit of C.O.D.P. It is an independent training organization of the Diocese of Mangalore. Formally registered in 1998, it offers value based training of practical and theoretical content to grassroots level workers, co-ordinators, administrators etc., and also functions as a resource centre to other like-minded NGOs.

Mission :
To work in solidarity with the poor and the disadvantaged.

Achievements :
- Conducted over 780 in-house training, seminars, workshops, etc. benefiting more than 28,324 participants.
- Over 234 outreach programmes conducted reaching more than 19,587 people.
- 11 mass meetings/public gatherings were organized with a reach of almost 12,000 people.
