Dec. 17, 2009: Dr Prabhu Deva, District Medical Officer, D.K. District released a Resource Directory on HIV/AIDS brought out by CODP Mangalore. Speaking on the occasion Dr Prabhu informed the gathering that this is the first attempt in Karnataka where such a resource directory is brought out having all the information in one book which can be helpful to HIV infected people to get more facilities in future. The book contains contact address and information on NGOs and Govt. departments in South Kanara and Udupi Districts. He also appreciated the work done by CODP in promoting community resilience to HIV/AIDS and care of the infected.
CODP Director Fr Onil D’Souza then thanked all the persons who helped in bringing out this resource directory. The other members present on the dais were Dr Kishore, District AIDS Prevention & Control Officer; and Mrs Seema Mathias from Hongirana Network.
This was followed by half day training programme on ‘Capacity Building’ to about 30 participants present at the programme. Earlier in the day Mr Rayan welcomed the gathering, Mr Jeevan compered the programme and Mr Sujan proposed the vote of thanks.
