A get-together for students benefiting under CODP Students Scholarship programme was organized on 2nd October 2009 at CODP-ISD Mangalore. An input session on Career Guidance and awareness on Govt. jobs and facilities was imparted to the students by Fr Oswald Monteiro and Mr Francis D’Cunha.
Before delivering his talk on ‘Career Guidance’ Fr Oswald conducted an ice breaking game for the participants. Thereafter, through interactive sessions, Fr Oswald guided the students as regards choice of career and also advised them to identify their inner abilities before making their choice. Mr Francis then explained regarding different jobs and facilities provided by the Govt. and also urged the students to make best use of the opportunities available to them. The Director of CODP Fr Onil D’Souza in his concluding address stressed the importance of choosing the right career and conducted a feed-back on the day’s topics.
Thereafter the lucky coupon draw was held. The day’s programme was conducted by the students themselves. Around 53 students who are studying in various fields at different colleges participated enthusiastically in the day’s programme.
