Holiday camps were organized for children sponsored under CODP’s Child Sponsorship project in the month of September at 7 different centres.
The children were divided into two groups. For those studying upto 6th std, group games were conducted and they were also encouraged to exhibit their talents, while the children studying in high school and college were given an Input session on “Civic responsibilities”
Resource persons were invited to speak on the topic at each centre. They enlightened the students on the characteristic of being a good citizen, responsibilities of a citizen at home and in society, the rights of a citizen according to the Constitution, etc.
Around 750 children participated actively at the camps. They were provided with an opportunity to know each other, exhibit their talents and also equip themselves with knowledge on current topics of importance. Quiz competition and cultural activities were conducted and prizes were distributed.
