Education aid worth Rs 200,000/- was disbursed by CODP to around 80 students hailing from families with poor economic background. The students ranging from primary to graduation level were assisted towards their course fees for the academic year 2009-10.
A programme was held on 20th May 2009 which was attended by the students and their parents numbering in all 125. Speaking on the occasion the Director of CODP Fr Onil D’Souza asked the students and their parents to tap Govt. schemes also while seeking help from NGOs. He also encouraged the poor but intelligent students to secure admission on merit basis by answering the Common Entrance Test which will help them to complete the education with less expense.
