Training on Sustainable Agriculture & Organic Pesticides
The parish of Nirmarga organized a training programme on sustainable agriculture and organic pesticides at Merlapadau on 26th April 2009. Around 30 farmers having agricultural land holding attended the same.
The resource person Mr Joseph Pinto explained the need and uses of organic farming and organic pesticides which will have better effect on environment and health of the future generation. The programme which was held at Mr Elias Pereira’s house, was inaugurated and presided over by Rev Fr Charles Menezes, the local parish priest.
